Vera Devera is a do-gooder by day (Account Executive at Donordigital, an online fundraising and advocacy nonprofit consultancy) and also moonlights as a special event planner (Va de Vie Events). She enjoys playing tennis, taking daytrips to Sonoma wine country, and hiking with her chi-corgi, Munch. In addition to blogging here on Bayareabrideguide.com, she blogs about her $10,000 wedding at “My Splendid $10,000 Wedding” and is a featured bride blogger on WeddZilla and Wedding Chicks and featured publisher on the online food network, FoodBuzz.

Megan Peters is an event planner and plus size bride to be. She studied Fine Arts at UC Berkeley and went on as a personal assistant to high status bay area residents. Finally she followed her dreams of working in the bridal industry after receiving her wedding planner certification. Megan say’s “it was like all the pieces finally fell into the right place at the right time” since she will be getting married November 2010. With her free time she handcrafts sterling silver and semi-precious stone jewelry. Walks her dogs Kula a golden-basset hound mix and Kona a terrier-cocker spaniel mix. She of course is planning her wedding with her wonderful fiancé and they love hosting dinners for friends and family and nights out on the town together.

Lauren and Haney are getting married August 2010 in Palo Alto, California. They have taken a team approach to destination wedding planning, and they are thrilled to share lessons learned with you. Plus their story has extra international flair with Korean, military and Catholic traditions attended by guests across the world from Hong Kong and South Korea to the continental United States to Germany and Ghana.  Get ready to globe trot and explore the Bay Area by following their story.
