One of the first steps in wedding planning is the photoshoot that comes after the engagement. The Bay Area is filled with so many scenic locations it can be a daunting task to pick a place. We at Bay Area Bride Guide have come up with a handy list of some of the best engagement photo spots in San Francisco.

1) Golden Gate Bridge

Nothing screams “Bay Area wedding” quite like a photo shoot with theiconic Golden Gate Bridge in the background.  There is no better place for an engagement photo shoot than the Golden Gate.

2) Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park provides you with the perfect backdrop: miles and miles of lush greenery.

3) Palace of Fine Arts

It is no surprise that this place provides for some stunning photos. ThePalace of Fine Arts is so beautifully structured that it would be impossible to take any bad pictures there!


4) San Francisco Japanese Tea Garden

Situated inside the Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden boasts well-manicured lawns and unique architecture.

5) Fan Favorite: Legion of Honor

When we posted this poll on our Facebook page, the overwhelming response was for the Legion of Honor. The Legion of Honor is a fine arts museum in San Francisco, It’s beautiful white pillared building makes for wonderful black and white photos. The area around it is also picturesque with green grass and a fountain of water.
